Conditions of Entry – BSJA Competitions

  1. All exhibitors and competitors are particularly advised to read these rules and conditions carefully.   Entries will only be accepted and competitors allowed to compete on the clear understanding that they agree to comply with and be bound by these rules and conditions.

  2. Entries in all classes are confined to horses and ponies registered with the BSJA Rule 79.   No responsibility will be accepted by the organisers for anything that may happen to competitors, onlookers or their property, servants or horses in connection with or arising out of this show.   It shall be considered a condition of entry that each entrant agrees to indemnify the promoters against any legal action arising there from.

  3. The decision of the judges will be final.   If any person lodges an objection, such objection must be made in writing to the secretary within 30minutes of the incident, together with a deposit of £100 to be returned if the objection is upheld.

  4. The organisers retain the right to refuse any entry, or to amend the details of the schedule if the instances of the program require, and to cancel any class with insufficient entries.   BSJA Rule 76.6 maybe applied.

  5. Failure to exhibit any animal entered will entail forfeiture of entry fees, other than in accordance with BSJA Rule 79.4.

  6. The organisers reserve the right to remove any vehicle or chattels which are obstructing any access to or on the showground even if locked, secured, unattended and braked and they will not be liable for any injury, loss, damage etc.

  7. The Organisers reserve the right to exclude from the meeting or remove from the showground any person or property for any reason and without giving a reason.

  8. Any competitor found schooling in the rings without permission will be disqualified from the show and reported to the BSJA.

  9. The Organisers may in any dispute or any other matter act or decide in any manner they think fit.

  10. Any competitor occupying a stable not reserved and paid for will be reported to the BSJA and will forfeit any prize money they may have won at the show.

  11. Arena UK reserves the right to refuse any entry whatsoever with no refund of entry fees or stable fees.

  12. No motorcycles of any description allowed on the showground.

  13. It is a necessity for your BSJA numbers for horses, riders, owners to be filled out on your entry form and sent to Arena UK before the entries closing date.

  14. No refund on stables without vets certificate or doctors note this must be received 5 working days prior to the first day of the show.

  15. No telephone/fax entries or stable bookings.

  16. Signature by the person making the entries shall be deemed to be an acceptance of the conditions herein contained in this schedule.

  17. Arrival & departure at the show.   The stable area will be open from 1pm on Wednesday 28 November.   Competitors may not arrive between the hours of 10pm and 6am.

  18. BSJA rule 82.21 no member shall allow a stallion for which he/she is responsible as owner, lessees, authorised agent or rider to compete or be prepared to compete, in any show jumping competition without taking adequate precautions to ensure other members of the public are not at risk of injury.  Stallions will be stabled in permanent stables away from other horses.

  19. A fee of £5.00 per entry will be charged for any change of classes or transfer of horse from one class to another.   This fee is payable in cash at time of alteration.
